About PDO Thread Lift

This minimally invasive procedure uses dissolvable PDO (Polydioxanone) threads to lift and tighten the skin by stimulating new collagen production, reducing wrinkles, tightening pores and creating volume. The fine, absorbable polydioxanone threads are implanted into the subcutaneous layer of the skin using small needles. It is carried out by using a cannula to insert the thread, which is completed under local anaesthetic. The threads used are then trimmed so that they are no longer visible. PDO thread lifting is suitable for any area of the face, as well as the neck and jaw, and including full eyebrow lifts.

PDO Thread Lift FAQ's

When can you expect results?

There can be an immediate improvement seen after treatments with a visible lift in the areas treated. This will improve over a period of 2-6 months as new collagen grows between the threads and gives further lift and tightening to the skin. The PDO threads gradually dissolve over about 6 months, but the resulting lift remains.

Are there any side effects?

PDO thread lifting is a very safe procedure and complications are extremely rare. Minor complications may include temporary swelling and bruising. Patients may feel slight tightness or a pulling sensation following the treatment, but this subsides over a few weeks.

Is it safe / does it hurt?

PDO Thread Therapy is a safe, minimally invasive procedure performed under local anesthetic to ensure comfort. While you may experience mild discomfort during insertion, most clients find it tolerable. Side effects are minimal and may include mild swelling or bruising, which typically resolve within a few days.
